WEEKEND IN AUGUST WHEN MY IN-LAWS WERE

IN TOWN.

We all went out to dinner to celebrate my father in law’s birthday.

Then it happened.

My wife asked me to pay for the meal.

I thought we’d agreed that SHE would pay from her last paycheck…

But I forgot she just had to get 4 new tires on her car…leaving her broke

I quickly whipped out my phone as I broke out into a cold sweat.

When I got my banking app open, I wanted to throw the meal back up.

I had $38.66 in my account.

The 2 credit cards I had were maxed out.

We had no way to pay for dinner.

In the end, my father-in-law paid for everyone's meal…on his own birthday.

They secretly pulled my wife aside afterwards and said they would loan us

money…

But they were worried I had a gambling problem or a drinking habit or something.

Neither of which were true, but it was the last straw for my wife.

She told me that this isn't what she signed up for.
